How to Protect Against Melanoma

Flying too close to the sun has a high price. Icarus found out the hard way. Pilots and airline crews have twice the incidence of melanoma compared to the general population according to the largest meta-analysis to date on the subject. The melanoma in this group was more deadly. Find out what pilots and cabin crew as well as you should take to lower your risk of melanoma. Right after I became an ND, I had a new patient who is a pilot.  I researched his occupational hazards and exposures and created a high anti-oxidant protocol with extra CoQ10. Ten years ago, I knew that he had more exposure to radiation.

The exposure comes from ultraviolet light that increases in intensity the higher a plane flies. At 30,000 feet the UV levels are twice as high as on the ground. Ionizing radiation is a well-known occupational risk factor.

What can you do for protection?

Take Xymogen's CoQMax Ubiquinol daily for the best protection against Melanoma.

If you're a frequent flier you need to take Ubiquinol plus some ActivEssentials for full spectrum anti-oxidant protection. Pull down the window shade in the window seat or ask for an aisle seat as protective strategies.

The transmission of UVB is less than 1% for both plastic and glass windshields. UVA is blocked by plastic materials, but 54% of UVA comes through glass windows in airplanes. If you are a pilot or know a pilot let them know about the increased risk of melanoma.
