About Low Carb Denver 2023

Low Carb Denver is a health and nutrition conference that is the largest conference of its kind, providing a unique educational opportunity for everyone, addressing the latest science and nutritional approaches including Low Carb, Keto, Low Carb Mediterranean, High Protein, Carnivore, Intermittent Fasting, Low Carb Vegetarian and Nutrient Density. Where is nutrition headed is our theme for 2023? There is also a focus on diabetes, heart disease, obesity, chronic disease and the role of nutrition as it relates to management, treatment and prevention. A host of world low carb leaders will be gathering to present including doctors, researchers, scientists, nutritionists and fitness instructors to name a few.

The conference is open to all including the general public, healthcare and non-healthcare professionals, researchers, scientists, citizen scientists, policy makers, health and fitness enthusiasts, exhibitors and sponsors. In-person and virtual CME & CPE credits for healthcare professionals. Our content continues to address the latest nutrition science, research, evidence, clinical and practical approaches. Another great opportunity for a diverse group to learn, meet distinguished guests, network, socialize and participate, all under one roof and in-person. Virtual options as well.

Educational credit, has been approved for in-person, virtual and home study. Healthcare professionals including physicians, dietitians and others may claim up to 18.25 CME prescribed credit hours  as live and enduring activity by the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP) and 18.75 CPEUs as activity 170 live and 175 recorded pre-approved by the Commission of Dietetic Registration (CDR). The content is available to purchase as home study for up to 1 year following the live event. AAFP Prescribed credit is accepted by the American Medical Association as equivalent to AMA PRA Category 1 credit(s)™ toward the AMA Physician’s Recognition Award. Many other healthcare accreditation entities including the Certification Board for Diabetes Care and Education (CBCDE – Diabetic Educators) accept these types of credits. More about the event

The doors open at the Gaylord Rockies on Thursday afternoon February 23, 2023 with registration from 3-6pm.  Check in to your hotel room, explore and enjoy the Gaylord Rockies resort. The presentations are on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Meet & Greet has been moved to Friday evening from 6-9pm. Speaker, VIP and Audience dinner on Saturday evening from 6-9pm. The Expo will be available Friday through Sunday. The registration/information desk will be staffed throughout the conference. 

We are holding our event once again at the Marriott Gaylord Rockies resort and convention center. Gaylord hotels have a great reputation. The property is located minutes from Denver International Airport. Convenient location and only 5,300 feet above sea level, so the altitude should not be a big issue! The conference will be held in the Colorado Ballroom C-D conveniently located on level 3 of the convention center. We have additional break-out space, a large pre-function area, Colorado Ballroom B and outdoor areas with great mountain views. Plenty of room for exhibitors and mingling. Coffee, tea and water will be provided throughout the conference plus vendor food samples. Starbucks, grab-and-go and many other food options are available throughout the resort. Locals and out-of-town guests will definitely enjoy the experience.

Inexpensive Parking next to RTD’s A Line station including Overnight
Additional parking is located next to RTD’s A Line station at 61st and Peña, fees are $2/every 12 hours including overnight. Here are more details about this parking. The Marriott Gaylord has a free shuttle that runs between the 61st and Peña parking lot and hotel. Shuttle times are from 6A-11P departing every 30 minutes, 12 minute ride. Hotel parking $28 overnight ($21 with hotel reservation). 

Travel Between the Airport and Marriott Gaylord Rockies Hotel
15 minute ride via Uber or Lyft, cost ~$15. Another option is the RTD’s A Line, 10 minute ride, cost $10.50 between the airport and the 61st and Peña station. From the A Line station at 61st and Peña there is a free Marriott shuttle that runs to the hotel and back from 6A-11P departing every 30 minutes, 12 minute ride. Total travel time ~22 minutes.3
